Your comments were heard loud and clear!
Yesterday, the Joint Commission on Health Care took
decisive action on the recent assisted suicide study, on which the
Virginia Catholic Conference and so many of you submitted comments. By
a vote of 10-6, the commission voted for the option we recommended: to
take no action on the study.
The commission received nearly 3,000 public comments against legalizing
assisted suicide … many of them yours. In fact, comments against assisted
suicide outnumbered comments for assisted suicide 8-1!
Thank you for standing up for life: You were indeed heard!
