- First Annual Catholic Heritage Festival2009-08-19
The Catholic Diocese of Arlington will celebrate the first annual Catholic Heritage Festival on August 22, 2009. Thirty-five years after the Diocese’s founding, parishioners will celebrate the unity and diversity of the Catholic faith through fellowship, food and prayer. All are welcome to join Bishop Paul S. Loverde, many diocesan priests and parishioners:
Saturday, August 22
10:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Bull Run Regional Park
Centreville, VABishop Loverde will celebrate Mass for festival participants at 11 a.m. There will be cultural dances, musical performances and food for sale reflecting the diversity of our diocesan Church, including American, Brazilian, Filipino, Middle Eastern and Brazilian cuisine. Children will have an opportunity to participate in a variety of games and adults may enter soccer tournaments and Frisbee games. Throughout the entire day, local Catholic organizations will be offering information and arts and crafts will be for sale by a number of vendors.
