cOLLECTION
ON June 14
“Wise use of communications technology enables communities to be formed in ways that promote the search for the true, the good and the beautiful, transcending geographical boundaries and ethnic divisions.” - Pope Benedict XVI
The Diocese of Arlington evangelizes through the use of various media: from pamphlets and letters to videos and Web sites to tweets and podcasts! This outreach is made possible through generous donations to the Catholic Communications Campaign (CCC), sponsored by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB).
Half of your donations support essential local communications initiatives and the remaining funds initiatives by the USCCB on a national and international level.
Local Initiatives:
- Radio and television advertising
- The publication of Bishop Loverde’s pastoral letters
- The Annual Diocesan Directory
- The maintenance of diocesan Twitter and Facebook accounts
- Bulletin announcements to parishes, priests and religious
- The Web site for the Arlington Diocese
- The “Come Back to Me with All your Heart” Lenten initiative, which invited parishioners back to Confession
Sirius XM interviews Bishop Loverde

- Media Relations on behalf of the diocese and the parishes
- Televised Mass for Shut-ins
National Initiatives:
Your donations to the CCC fund evangelization efforts, including Catholic radio and television, daily Scripture meditations and the “For Your Marriage” campaign. For more information, visit the USCCB's Catholic Communications Campaign.
Christ calls us to, “Go into the whole world and proclaim the gospel …” (Mark 16:15). Your generous donations enable our diocesan Church to continue to reach out to our parishioners, our community in Northern Virginia and the world.
Please donate to the Catholic Communications Campaign on June 14th. Your generosity is appreciated!
