Adlin deCardi is a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist, who moved from CA to the Mid-Atlantic area in 2009.

Over the past 20 years, Ms. deCardi has spent most of her time working with victims of child abuse and domestic violence. Having had experience in the child abuse field, she called the Diocese of San Diego one day in 2002 and left a message stating she was interested in becoming involved. "The next day I received a call from Bishop Brom himself asking me to come in for an interview. I was honored that he took the time to call me." She was a member of the DSD Review Board from 2002-2007 and as a volunteer, she was also the Victim Assistance Coordinator for 1 year.

"Being bilingual and bicultural has given me the opportunity to offer services to the Hispanic community, many of whom are somewhat fearful of seeking services because of their immigration status. My hope is to encourage all who are in need of services, especially Latinos, to come forward as children. 'Let the children come to me and do not prevent them; for the Kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.'" MT 19:14
