Vocations
fiat GROUPS: high school women
''FIAT' is a Latin word for 'Let it be done'. It was Mary's response to the angel Gabriel when she was asked to become the mother of Jesus. 'Let it be done unto me according to Your Will' refers to Mary's 'Yes' to God. The members of FIAT are young women in high school who desire to grow in faithful discipleship by modeling their personal holiness on that of our Lady. By doing so they hope to be better able to discover their own vocation invitation from our Lord, whatever that might be and make their own "fiat" or "yes" to Him. The Office of Vocations is hosting a FIAT Day Gathering on April 24, 2010 at Holy Family Church in Dale City, VA. The day will include Holy Mass at 10am, a craft gift project for Mother's Day, lunch and Q&A with two religious sisters. The day is open to High School age young women, rising 9th graders through senior year. Click here for the FIAT Day Gathering flyer.
