Youth and Young Adults
young adult volunteer opportunities
Welcome to the Catholic Diocese of Arlington's Young Adult Ministry site for those seeking to serve Christ in our neighbor! We are here to connect you with parishes, clinics, and diocesan programs which have volunteer opportunities. Check out the opportunities below or contact your parish young adult leader to find out if you can help locally.
volunteer activities:
The Holiday Sharing “Adopt-a-Family” Program brings Christmas to disadvantaged and homeless families in Alexandria. Volunteers are needed to sign up Blessed Sacrament families in Quinn Hall on Sunday November 15th and Sunday, November 22nd after the 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM masses, collect the gifts in the Parish Center on Wednesday, December 2nd from 7:00 to 9:00 PM, and shop for extra gifts December 7th-December 13th. Volunteers are also needed to deliver the gifts to the Department of Human Services on Monday, December 14th at 5:00 PM. We also welcome contributions – cash or checks (payable to Blessed Sacrament) of gift certificates to Giant, Safeway, or Shoppers Food Warehouse. For more information or to sign up to volunteer contact Olivia Kohler at oliviakohler@hotmail.com.
