Why I am a Youth Minister
So I can teach and learn at the same time. I love teaching/talking about God and the Church, and I love learning about Them. Is there a better way to do both? In any case, I pray God makes me better at it. I think He is....slowly....but surely.
About Me
- I was born and raised in Dayton, OH. - I have four siblings: Valerie (26), Jackie (21), Danny (17), and Faith (4). Faith is my goddaughter. She really looks up to me and loves me a lot. She's extremely intelligent. I also have one sibling-in-law, John (26), and one niece, Lily Giana (1). - I studied Theology (major) and Business & History (minors) at Franciscan University of Steubenville (in Ohio) for four years, which included a semester traveling around Europe studying and living in a 13th century Carthusian monastery in Gaming, Austria. It was awesome! - I've met Pope Benedict XVI. I spoke to him and he spoke back. I said, while holding his hand, "Grussgott (which is German for 'greetings in God') from Steubenville!" Then he said "Ahh! Steubenville! Steubenville!" Then I kissed his ring. It was awesome. When you look into his eyes all you can think about is joy. - I am an aspiring musician/singer/songwriter, as well as an aspiring filmmaker (actor, writer, director, cinematographer, editor, etc.). I love the arts! I think they should be taught/emphasized more than they are. - I love being creative. I wrote a sweet rhyme for Pope Benedict the day he became pope. It's to the tune of "Big Papa" by Notorious B.I.G. (which I don't recommend listening to). Ask me about it next time you see me. I love sharing it with people. - I love comedy. - I celebrate Christmas all year long. I wear my [singing] Christmas neck-tie to every wedding I attend (it's theological). - "It's a Wonderful Life" is the greatest film ever made. - I can connect virtually any actor or actress to Kevin Bacon in six films or less. - I love starting revolutions and giving glory to God....maybe that's the same thing...... - If there's anything else you'd like to know, feel free to ask. - Praise be to God forever and ever!
