At our founding in 1974, the diocese was home to 136,000 Catholics in 49 parishes. In just over thirty years, our Catholic population grown to over 400,000 people in 68 parishes and 6 missions; Catholics now account for 15% of the total population in the region. Our Church has consistently grown and expanded in accordance with our ever-changing society.
