Welcome! We are glad that you are interested in finding out more about the Catholic Faith and we hope that the Lord in His goodness will lead you to His Church.
Becoming a Catholic is a response to God’s invitation to share in His own blessed life so that we might be made His adopted children and heirs of His eternal kingdom (Compendium of the Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1). If you believe that God is calling you to the Catholic Faith, then the best way to proceed is to contact the Catholic parish closest to where you are living and let someone at the parish know you are interested in learning more about the Catholic Faith. You will be invited to join with others like yourself as you inquire into what being Catholic is all about: who we are, what we believe, how we live our lives, how we pray and more.

If you are interested in reading about the Catholic Faith, there are a number of excellent resources available. The most authoritative resource is the Catechism of the Catholic Church, which you can explore online or order from your favorite bookstore.
If you have not been baptized, the process of Christian initiation (known also as the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, or RCIA) prepares you to enter into the Catholic Church by celebrating what are called the sacraments of Christian initiation: Baptism, Confirmation and Holy Eucharist (or Communion).
If you were already baptized in another Christian tradition, the initiation process prepares you to enter into full communion with the Catholic Church by celebrating the sacraments of Confirmation and the Eucharist (or Holy Communion).
Above all, we encourage you to pray for God’s guidance and light as you progress on your spiritual journey!
