“I’ve heard of the transformations - men who have gone in
there with little or no faith, and come out renewed.” -Thérèse Bermpohl, Director, Office for
Family Life

ARLINGTON, Va. – More than 700 men will fill St. Joseph Catholic Church in Herndon Saturday, March 4, 2017, for the 8thAnnual Men’s Conference. The event, sponsored by the Catholic Diocese of Arlington’s Office for Family Life, gives attendees
the opportunity to get inspired by some of the most dynamic Catholic speakers, build holy relationships, and celebrate their faith. The conference is sold out.
“This event was sold out weeks ago. I only wish we had a bigger venue to accommodate the hundreds on the waiting list, says Thérèse Bermpohl, Director of the Office for Family Life. She says hands down this is one of the most significant events of the year. “I’ve heard of the transformations – men who
have gone in there with little or no faith, and come out renewed” she says.
“It teaches you how to overcome your weaknesses and develop strengths,” says 60 year-old Terry Mitchell. Mitchell attended the Men’s Conference a few years ago. At the time, he didn’t pray very much, and things in his life were going downhill. That’s when someone suggested
he attend the conference. “Living in a world of lies, I learned how to filter through all of it on a daily basis. I was taught self-control, too,” he said.
The theme of this year’s conference is Girding for Battle. “In today’s society Christian principles are constantly being challenged, and these talks will provide tools to reaffirm the power of our witness that is so necessary,” says Brendan Gotta, Young Adult
Coordinator with the Office for Family Life.
